What does it mean to "Approve" a comment?
Review My eLearning offers the versatile function of “approving” comments as they occur throughout the review process. The Approved comment toggle is located on each comment and can be used in ways to best suit your team. Note that for security purposes, unless a Reviewer is logged in, the user will not be able to change the approval status of a comment.
The “Approved” function on comments is used in a variety of ways, but here are a couple uses we find typical:
- Reviewers may use the “Approved” toggle to indicate that the comment has been double checked, remains valid, and is formally requested as an edit for the Developers to implement. This is especially useful for teams which may have a “Lead Reviewer.”
- In the case of a new review cycle, Reviewers may use the “Approved” toggle to indicate that the requested change has been implemented correctly, and the comment no longer requires a Developer’s attention.
Each team works differently and Review My eLearning is committed to enabling your team and its best workflow. Once your team establishes your personal conventions for the Approved comment toggle feature, it will improve your efficiency overall.
